Question

I'm an unmarried mother and am wanting to move out of state. No order has been set for visitation or custody. The father pays child support when he actually has a job. Can I move without his permission or do I need an attorney?

Answer

At the least, you'll have to give the father proper and timely notice of the proposed move. You should consult directly with a family law attorney before do coding what to do. Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation. Contact one, and give them the pertinent information that you weren't able to provide here.

Good luck
