My ex has had my daughter placed in a mental hospital but refuses to provide the name of the hospital or what is happening although we have joint legal custody. Among the other many issues I am concerned about what decisions will be made under these circumstances. I am trying to get to her asap; how do I proceed???

First, I would call every psych unit of every hospital to find out where your daughter is. Second, I would have an attorney contact your ex and demand the information. Third, I would have an attorney file a motion for an emergency order compelling your ex to disclose the information.
