Ok has anyone ever heard of howard and clark financial in Hartford Connecticut?
yes i have heard of these people they called us and said we were approved for 5000 dollar loan that all we had to do was send them 500 dollars as collateral and that wold cover our first 5 payments. they faxed us a contract explaining our payments and so forth. so we signed the agreement and faxed it and our info over and they said when we western union our 500 over (this was on a Fri) that sat our 5000 would be in our account from 9-12 o'clock. I was kinda worried all that night that we had been scammed but 5000 dollars sure sounded good because we needed the extra cash. So when Saturday morning came first thing we did was call our bank but the money was not there so we thought well its still early well when 12 o'clock came the money still wasn't in there and i knew we had been ripped off. So we called western union and luckily they had not got our 500 dollars yet so my husband explained to western union what was going on and they transferred the money back in our name. And we also got to thinking they had us send the money to Canada OK that was weird to me having to send it of the us. so i got on the inter net and googled the company and it never pulled them up and i go-ogled and yellow paged the phone number but never got anything. So i looked up BBB in Connecticut they are a business but not under BBB. This was on sat so we didn't get to talk to a live person. when Monday came we called the finance company and asked for Noah the guy who was our "loan officer" and no answer finally my husband got a call from the main guy at this company and said that they would need 800 more dollars for insurance purposes that would be a total of 1300 dollars and that they were sorry for this inconvenience but they were legit and all this. so finally my husband got in touch with Noah and he said he didn't know what was the deal that he didn't have access to our account anymore and he would talk to his boss and see what he could do. and they never say anything about the fact we had already got our money back. and they went on to say if we sent more money we were guaranteed to get our loan the next day. so i looked up BBB again and we called them and they are located in Connecticut where they say and are a business but they asked my husband if they asked for money up front and he and he told them yes and they said that in the state of Connecticut it is ILLEGAL to ask for money up front for a loan and that is probably why they had us send the money to Canada and he gave him a number t a bank in Connecticut and they said it is a scam a Canadian money scam. My husband contacted this Howard Clark finance company again and told him what he found out and the guy was like well i am not gonna discuss this with u and blah blah blah he was very short and hung upon my husband he knew he had been caught. So if this company contacts u wanting money and says are approved don't do it. My husband told him that the 500 dollars we were sending was all the money we had and we had 2 children and we were gonna pay our bills with the money that we were sending and if we would not have called western union and got our money back we would of had no money to pay our bills and these ppl don't care. Every time my husband would call the customer service it was always the same guy that answered so it is basically 2 guys making a living off honest hard working peoples money. it pays to do research in a situation like this and i want everyone to know because i don't want anyone else to fall victim to this
