How much hp can a car get?
That all depends on if you want it street legal, how much you're willing to pay, and how useful you want it to be.
Most powerful production car, the Bugattii Veyron has over 1000 HP, and is quite driver friendly. But it's also horrible expensive and very, very rare.
It is entirely possible to tune fairly normal-looking cars to 1000+ HP too, but they're prone to failures and tend not to be particularly reliable.
