What is not true about the English mercintile system?
Mercantilism was set up in a pre-historic economic system where global trade was difficult to engage in. Its number one goal was for the residence operating under a mercentile system would control a substantial amount of the gold that was being traded. In today's day and age both parties benefit from the act of trading, usually a good or service for money, but the transfer of money boosts the economy and with a mercentile system (which usually includes very high tariffs) it is very difficult for new currency to enter into that economy.
