Question

I lent a friend my car and he got in an accident and totaled it. No other vehicles were involved. He claims to not have enough insurance to cover it so we agreed he can pay out of pocket. He believes he should pay half of the value of what it was worth since we were both at fault but I'd like to know if he can pay more?

Answer

He is responsible for the damages caused by his negligence. Up to you how you handle that. Why were you both at fault if he was driving?
