What is a feather pen?
Well, usually it is a pen made out of a feather, and also known as a Quill pen. Before the advent of some of our current (and very cool) writing instruments, people made their own, calligraphy-like pens out of feathers... dipped them in ink, and then wrote. Feathers have a natural area where more ink can be held than say, a stick. ... So they worked well. They still make pens out of feathers now, but it is less about the functional aspects than about the look.
