My Mother died when I was 9, I lived with my grandparents (my mothers mother and father) My grandfather was over my mom's estate, in which she had a car. My grandfather said it was my car and whenever I wanted it I could have it, I messed around because I had no place to store it, and he passed away, I asked my grandmother several times for the title, which she said she didn't know , later we found out she had dementia, I helped my aunt take care of my grandmother until she died this past November. My aunt is over the unsupervised estate. I have asked several times about the title and she only replied once saying she didn't know where it was, (but learned through another source she did ) and the rest of the time she will not answer my question along with other things that belonged to my mother, I know I will not get any of my grandparents things, I only want my mothers, do I have any rights or what do I need to do?
Answer
Maybe you do. But only an attorney can sort this all out for you. You have to decide whether the value of what is supposedly due to you is worth it.
