I am in the middle of a divorce my husband wrote me a check for the utilities then he stop payment on it and filed forgery with his bank on the check is he trying to get me to go to jail or get me at some kind of trouble and can he do this? We are still married

Do you have an attorney representing if? If so, contact your attorney.

He can do anything he wants but it does not mean that the police will prosecute you. If it's his signature then you are fine. If you forged his signature that is illegal -- even if you are married.
