Question

I am the executor of an estate. All creditors were noticed, but only two have filed claims. Now that real property is sold and there is cash, can I pay all the creditors, even if they have not filed claims?

Answer

You are obligated to pay off known creditors, even without a creditor claim having been filed, as long as you do not dispute the debt. So just write some checks.
