Question

i am a victim of id theft through a doctors office. case continued four times in two years. The assistant state attorney wants me to agree to a plea bargin. why?

Answer

There may be multiple reasons that the state wants you to do that. The case may have weaknesses, the state may want to make sure you get your money back, etc. You can call the assistant yourself if you have any questions.

Answer

Well it is probably because about 95% of all criminal cases are resolved via plea bargain, and the ASA wants to make sure you are ok with the deal. This is pretty standard practice, but call them and talk to them.
