i went on maternity leave 6/18 because of the complications of my pregnancy, they only gave me 6 weeks. my 6 weeks are up and i just had the baby on 8/2 im sure they have terminated me but is that possible..... i thought maternity was 12 weeks??

Look up FMLA-Family and Medical Leave Act and get a consult with an atty that does Labor Law (no pun intended). You might even have more than the 12 unpaid weeks allowed, such as this one union where you get 12 paid, some places first 6 paid, next 6 unpaid...
