Is it legal to have a gas meter located just inside the front door of a flat that is not boxed in?
If it would be considered breaking and entering to check it, then no.ADDED: I believe the first contributor mis-understood the question. I am quite sure that (in the US) you will learn that the fire codes would prohibit such an unprotected device from being located in an interior entrance or hallway.
