My best friend has been at University of Michigan for two years and he failed three business classes and he's a business major so do you think he can still get a bachelor's degree in business?
Answer
Taking the class over and receiving a good grade will help tremendously. Suggest he find a tutor or talk to the professors to figure out how to correct the issue. There is always a way to correct things if you try hard enough.
Answer It depends on the university's fail policy. In other words, some institutions will only let you repeat a course once, some twice. After that you cannot take the course again. He/she has to ask the office of the registrar, or check the schools catalog for the regulation. If the student was accepted to the University of Michigan, evidently the individual has the ability to do the work. As such, I believe the individual is not applying themselves. A person who is a business major and fails three business courses tells me he/she does not have a passion for the field. It's not that he/she does not have the ability to succeed in this field, it is because they are unwilling to succeed in this field. It's a waste of time, money, and so called effort. This person needs to find their passion. They need to create a vision, which is a clearly articulated picture of the future they intend to create for themselves. Then they need to develop a road-map leading to the goals and objectives they have set for themselves within that vision. So, many people go into fields and don't even understand why they did. It means their goal (if they had one) was not specific, or realistic, and not tangible.
