Can you start a repo business with a criminal record?
One of the biggest advantages of owning your own business is that a criminal record will not keep you out. You might find, with that type of business, you are required to post a performance bond (insurance) because of it, but that is just an additional expense.
Some loan agencies might be reluctant to work with you, until you have established a good reputation. In general, it is best to check with your local business license to make sure there aren't any local regulations you need to follow.
