Question

My bf filed a motion for jail time credit to the court. The court never responded back. Does that automatically mean its denied? Do they have to respond?

Answer

I am taking a bit of a guess here. Filing a motion means nothing unless it is set for a hearing. Did this motion get set for a hearing with a notice of hearing filed? If not it os just out there in limbo. In general if a motion is denied you get an order from the judge saying it was denied. Of not, it probably just hasn't been ruled on because the proper procedures have not been followed.
